Guru rated 517th player in the league
Part of my major strategy this year is a healthy reliance on dual position players – especially when it comes to the great stock that is available as defender/midfielders.
Heppell is a first year player, playing for a team on the improve. I am expecting him to get plenty of game time for Essendon.
This is great news for DT strategy. Having Heppell at a cheap price with a couple (or more) gun def/mid will give you adequate coverage when the dreaded bye hits either your defence or midfield.
Heppell won’t be available to win us the grand final, but he could lend a hand it getting us to the play off. At this stage, I will be looking at selling him on and upgrading my defence or midfield.
Heppell should be in most people’s dreamteam this year, and with the uniqueness of the 17 team format this year, he is great value. He could easily start most weeks and give you coverage for when Goddard or Gibbs have the bye. Swallow might be good, but he won’t do that for you!
