No one was more surprised that North Melbourne that this guy was still available when it came their turn in the draft last year. They snapped him up, and I reckon Scott smiled to himself knowing that 2011 and beyond were looking good for the roos.
Consider this. Ziebell. Anthony. Cunnington.
Add Atley.
Now add another 5 years experience to these guys.
You’re looking at a good basis for a good future in the land of the roo.
But this isn’t about premiership success, this is about dreamteam.
Consider the prices of Ziebell, Anthony and Cunnington. For their dollar value, you are better investing elsewhere this year.
But under $100K you can buy Atley who will be given plenty of time on the field this year. Atley was rated as a top ten draft pick, but when a lot later than expected. The good news for us, is that his price isn’t inflated (David Swallow like) for being an early draft pick.
As an investment player, he is a good choice. If he has a good year, he might still be in your team come round 24.
